Viewpoint: A Glance at the Earliest Universe

A clearly written explanation in Physics of a recent Physical Review Letter on the use of loop quantum gravity (LQG) to analyze the origin of the universe beyond the time classical gravity breaks down. Fascinating stuff, I didn't know LQG can say something so definite yet. Particularly momentous if it turns out these predictions can be tested by precision measurements of the cosmic microwave background.
